Offsetting salinity creep

Weekly maintenance. Hadn't bothered to check SG for a while. My AWC does 1 gal/day, over multiple doses (DOS system on the Apex). The tan SG tested at 1.028!! Even though my New Water container is 1.026. Would to be okay to turn off the New Water side, but keep the Old water going out, then the Auto-topoff would add 1 gallon of fresh instead of salt.
If that's too drastic/fast, I can change the New Water side of the DOS to, say, 1/2 gallon/day, while the ATO would fill in the other half. Obviously I'd check SG daily until I get t back where I want it....
And yes, I did calibrate both sides, so I'm not really sure how I ended up here....

Side note: I'm having a heck of a time dialing in the Ca dosing of my 2 part. 2 weeks ago, my Ca had dropped from 450 to 423, so I added 30 seconds to that pump (from 3x/day for 9:30 min each, @ 1.1 ml/min to 9:40). Today, it was 522 according to my Hanna. I'm bouncing all over! Need to start testing more than twice/month....

Lowering your salinity that way should be fine as long as it's done over a few days or more.. I've used the same method to raise salinity by connecting the ATO to the mixing tank. Just be sure to monitor it closely so you don't overshoot.

Sorry about that. It's a 75 with maybe 10-15 in the sump. I'm a little rusty on math, but I could probably calculate the number of gallons to lower it by 0.002, then just divide that by 7 and have it spot on b next weekend. Gets a little tricky, since the DOS does the changes like every hour or so (not sure on that part).
Maybe best to not over think it, and cut the NSW to 3 liters/ and let the ATO add the 4th.
