Offspring color of ¡ðWSM and ¡ñGSM?

Anyone know what color the offspring of a female white-striped Maroon and and gold-striped male would be?

Thanks!

I may find out some day. I have a paired GSM female with a WSM. I'm sure half of the fish would be GSM and the other would be WSM. But it would be cool if they had yellow and white stripes. We can only dream

According to my relatively limited knowledge of genetics, there would be a certain percentage which would show yellow stripes, and a percentage with white stripes.

I'd imagine the Punnet square would look something like this:

As I've added in the image, there are much more complicated genetic scenarios than just dominant/recessive that could be at play here.

In fact, after drawing this up, it's occurred to me that if this was truly the case, even some WSM pairs would be creating GSM offspring, as most fish would carry the recessive gene for gold stripes.

Although...the GSM and WSM clowns occur in geographically differing locations, correct? I guess if that's the case then perhaps all of the WSM clowns have straight "WW" genetics, with the "Wg" genotypes having been bred out over the years.

Or, yet another possibility is that they're actually genetically different due to the geographical separation, and there would be a hybridization of some sort as a result of breeding them.

I need to go to bed...I'm thinking myself in circles...lol

Thanks all-

My hunch was that the offspring would be mixed, but I wasn't sure if the whole domnant/recessive clause would make a difference.

Slakker- from what I've seen the two varieties come from different areas. This page link shows the GSM as coming from the Philippines only. But I'm not certain how true that is.
