my green bubble tip got some of it's tenticles sucked up in my maxi jet, none of it's foot or any of the under part just the tenticles. i must have caught it just in time.. is there and hope of saving it?

If it is still trapped just shut the pump off disassemble it under water and take the anemone out. Let it sit on a roc and it will attach again. It will recover fast, just keep good water quality to prevent infection.
Put a gille or strainer in that powerhead.

yes right away i unplugged the maxi jet and as lightly as i could untangled her from it. i brushed her off a bit and placed her on a rock in the center of my tank. it's been an hour now and whats left of her tenticles seem to be open and her mouth is closed. i turned the lights out as well. seems that when i cleaned the tank earlier today the maxi jets suction cup must have slid towards the bottom of the tank and sucked her right up.

She is a little beaten up but have seen them worst and recover. It will be helpful for here recovery if you can find a way to keep those clowns away for a while. An inverted plastick fruit basket or similar will work well to keep them away, just do not use anything that may block the light too much.
Keep the lights on as usual for her and do not feed it anything large for about a week, (Some small pieces of raw scallop are good) she may not take the food but do not worry just take the food out to prevent rotting, and try again a couple of days later.

Those Maroon Clownfish are only going to make the situation worse. Best to have them isolated from the anemone for a couple days.

yeah i know, i have been feeding it mysis shrimp every day i have inly had her 1 1/2 weeks.

Please place the BTA on the rock work, preferably with a cave behind it. They are not sand dwellers, and will frequently let go and tumble around if they don't find a suitable spot on a rock. Concern would be the rock in the sand bed is not going to be adequate and you'll be back at the starting point.

A meaty diet of fish, silversides are typically available, are better then just mysis. Cut the silversides into pieces approx 1/2" long.

Good luck.

Yes Misis is not nutritious enough, Silversides are excellent but if you can't find them as I mentioned try some scallops. She nedds to be on the rocks and shee may hide itself, take the basket and put it on the rocks over a crevice or between two rocks and she will walk down.

there are rocks that she was on under tha basket, thats what i placed her on but she moved to the side of the basket. i will get some silversides today. can you get the frozen or do i have to buy them live? and suggestions on where to get them?

Yes it did.

ok here are some more facts about bleached anemone nutrition:

they need protein to produce ammonia to help promote recolonization by the zoo. algea(next step only needs to be done if anemone is totally bleached) but there has to be a non bleached coral in the tank to be a donor to the anemone. zooanthus usually work well.

also bleached anemones need extra pigments in their diet to make up for what they arent getting from their alga buddies, pigments protect their delicate tissue from uv rays.

also make sure they get some carbohydrates in their food.

ocean nutritions frozen prime reef and brine shrimp plus i believe are good(make sure they dont have a gel binder in the ingredents), cyclopeeze and artic pods, you can use selcon it wont hurt the nem might help recovery.
