Oil contamination of the Gulf

Just watching the latest report on the growing oil slick in the Gulf, a school of fish were shown at the surface gasping for oxygen. The fishing and shellfish industry have taken a major hit.
Hopefully the live rock trade will not be affected by this environmental nightmare! They still can't contain the oil being spilled, and they are pumping thousands of gallons of chemicals to break up the oil in the water.

some reports show it will take hundreds if not thousands of years to recover, the amount of life that has and will be killed along with contaminated areas the growth in areas will not come back for many many moons....... drop a tablespoon of crude oil into your tank and see what happens.....

BPs quick fix to stop the leak that they haven't tried yet....take one of their executives overinflated egos and stuff it in the hole. That kills two birds with one stone.

We need a lot more than prayers. But believe me, we will take those also. It would also help if the officials didn't try to cover things up so much. AND just because we are in the South does not mean we are a bunch of idiots! Yes,,, it is as bad as it seems!!!

the chemical dispersants they are pumping in are supposed to be just as toxic as the crude oil. :thumbdown
