Ok all - LTA and/or Bubble Tip Anemone?

Also to see if they are compatible together in the same tank.
Likes and dislikes.
Food issues.
Future addition concerns.

I've only kept a BTA, and it seems to be reasonable so far. I feed whole lancefish and krill. This article has information on anemones:

I would go with the BTA. I have one feed it twice a week my clown loves it. Get a rose bta if you can find one.

I would definitely say just one anemone in the tank, and I'd go with the BTA. Your system is great for an anemone, nice lights!

Its often recommended to wait at least 6 months for your new tank to mature to add a BTA. Stable systems are a must for them.

So the practice of getting your tank stable for 6 months is a good idea. Good luck!

at my LFS they have a tank that has 3 differnet types in the same tank so you can do that ( LT BT and seabea) i think he said he had a reitteri too. i personally have a green BTA and love it, clows do too. Everyone in here talks about how you have to have some high tech lighting system, well mine stays hid behing rocks where he only get minimal light, i've moved him and moved him and he keeps going behind rocks. BTA's are one of the easyiest to keep unless you want to get a condi, corkscrew, quirly Q. You cant kill them 3

i think that i heard that the bt that hide from the light are supposedly a chinese variant, so this might be why your anemone is constantly moving to the dimmer parts of the tank. i know that mine is not of chinese origin and it reaches for the lights whenever they are on.

i have no idea what origin it is, im not really an anemone raceist, lol....just kiddin ,i just know its really pretty and fun to watch. I've heard that most BTA dont care as much for the ligth as your other comon anemone's. dont count on what i say though, im pretty new to the whole anemone thing. I've had anemone's for about 5 months now!! but so far so good!

You can buy a LTA for your clown but if she wants to feed it it can be a monster, this anemone is 8 months old, she sat on it like a couch cushin when I bought it.

i have a BTA, and my clowns totally ignore it. been in there several months too
