OK! Enough chat...Starting a 1000g+ Reef

Tank is not down yet. I am trying to sell off SPS and then get the rest to an LFS. Unfortunately I am not physically capable of catching the fish. 
Once the tank is empty, I will saw it up and put it in a dumpster. I had originally offered all the livestock, rock, etc. for $3K to anyone that would take it all in one shot. Really good deal since there is 750 lbs. of MI rock, and scads of sweet corals, and of course a wicked collection of fish.
One guy was looking to take it and he asked about buying the tank, and I simply told him that I would not sell the tank, but if he took the livestock, I would give him the tank. Then he chickened out. :lol:
Good news! My neurologist cut me loose and approved me to drive again.
Thanks Chuck, but not really. I just never had the time to spend on photography to really get that right. In my next tank life, I will be working more on that.

Nothing else came out at all because I didn't turn off the flow and wasn't feeding.

Couple vids. Trying to get more top-down fish action. The first one didn't work so well because I wasn't feeding. BTW, the area along the bottom is just because the top-down box was built with a real camera in mind, and I am using a litle pocket Casio.
This second one is better in that we were feeding. Well, very OVER-FEEDING to get the fish near.
Many of the fish stayed outside the camera's range because they normally eat out in the wash of food that gets past the aggressive fish. The rest would be right at the surface but were a little shy due to the camera.

Thanks. Not so good on camera work but at least the colors are true. I still can't get over the color on the orange shoulder, and now I have to give him up. It really was bothering me a couple nights ago. I have spent over 3 years Growing these animals and corals, and for what?

Looking for a replacement CO2 regulator/solenoid. Mine has been eaten alive by salt. I think the regulator itself is still good, but the flow is not shutting off when the solenoid goes off.
I took it to PraxAir where my rep. tested it and it seemed to work fine there on the bench, but it is definitely not working correctly here, and it is causing me major headaches. I would love to find one made out of thermo-plastic rather than the chrome coated or whatever that material is on the one I got from Germany.
Any suggestions welcome!

Give them a call and speak to Mark, (owner), he's a pretty good guy. NOTICE: 3 year warranty! I got the "second best" a while back and have had not problems.

You need a reef apprentice. Someone who will be super keen to learn all you have to share, and to empty skimmer collection containers with no complaints. Then you could just sit back, relax, get better, and still keep your tank.
I'm still sad that you are breaking down your tank, but it sounds like it is for the best.
