My Peppermint never touched any of my SPS. They might be just picking stuffs off to eat since they do clean as well as eating anemones.

if you look at it closely, the shrimp picked the polyps. There are few white sockets w/o polyps were the ones got picked by it.

I stood there watching him picked polyp by polyp to make sure if he was actually doing it... :(

it might be a "peppermint". I looks like Lystmata, not like Lystmata wurdmanii. Could be the lighting, though. Better safe than sorry. where did you get it?

Hmmm....I don't know. The seem like they know there stuff. If it keeps happening flush it and get a new one. or put it in your sump. but you will likely have to feed it. I still want to see a picture.

pelagic7 I remember you getting him. At the time it cirtanly looked like a peppermint shrimp but looking at the body in the pic I'm less sure. Also, don't flush him, if you need to get rid of him I may have a place for him.

my peppermint shrimp looks just like that maybe mine isnt what i thought either. i know he doesnt eat the apstasia i have growing. if he starts eating my sps you will have another for your seafood dish.

I got all of my peppermints from the same source and they have been model citizens. All they do is keep my aptasia in check, I have never seen them touch any of my sps, lps, shrooms, or zoas.

my apstasia is starting to spread i think i am going to get a couple more peppermints does anyone have any lock line plyers i could borrow
