Ok time to start piecing 210gal sys

Ok so my Christmas list is as follows.


This tank is going to be a FOWLR tank.

210g tank w/overflow kits
stand
MR2 skimmer
genx pcx 55 pump
power compact lighting
heaters 2 50w
sump/fuge tank
sand
rock
egg crate
(possibly) uv sterilizer

If there is anything I am missing please help.

Cooling fans or a chiller unless you are going to be open top instead of canopy

I would suggest T5 HO or VHO instead of PC lighting. That way, if you ever decide to put corals in there, you have the option to just add additional lighting instead of replacing the PCs altogether.

If it is a FOWLR I will put a wet dry filter. I will also save the money on the heaters, it is unlikely that you will use them in a tank that size and even if they do go on 100w of heater will hardly scratch the temperature

So instead of a sump/fuge I should just get a wet/dry?

Also no corals due to the fish that I am going to be putting in it.

Im not going with a canopy because I dont like them. All im going to have on top is the egg crate. And the lighting.


On the water part I am going to need an RO/DI unit as well. That what I forgot.

Heck, even if it's Fish Only I'd go with a good T5 HO setup. Simply put, there's a lot of bulbs, which translates into a lot of options. If you don't like your light, change 1 bulb.
