HI guys,
I have a few novice questions,

I bought a bag of 20lbs of CaribSea sand(Aragonite reef sand), you know, the one that comes in a plastic bag with water in it....I was gonna use it to set up a 10 gl aquarium in another room but things didnt go as planned so now I want to use the sand on my regular reef aquarium that i set up 6 months ago...is it ok to just add it on top of my other sand? will it make the system spike?..also I dont know what they are but i see a whole bunch of little black snail looking creatures appear in my sand...what are those?

And the last one....why is the inside of my sand turning pinkish?(i can see it through the glass) I am using this product called PurpleUp that works pretty good on the rocks..would this be causing it? is it good or should I siphon it?

Thank you guys!!! please send me some inputs!!

You should be able to add 1/2" or so at a time. Wait a few weeks between additions. That'll give animals, etc, in the sand a chance to recover.

You might be seeing cyanobacteria or coralline algae. Either way, it can be ignored, IMO.
