Ok so i made a thread about if i could use a bio cube or not. Most of yall said no, becase of the heat. So i will add more fans to it and cool it down. and also try to slow the flow down.
But you c with all that work on my moms tank, its kinda left me of track with my other tank so its kinda MESSED up. Hair algea and all. So how do i kill all the algea in my tank and get it back in gear for a seahorse tank. Nothings going to happn now cus im broke It takes a lot of yards to mow for seahores tanks you no lol.
so if you could give me some tips as what i need to do this tank. that would be cool

First you should do a water change if you have a hair algae problem. Get some snails to clean the glass and keep it clean. keep the filter clean if you are using a filter. Plant some marine plants, as they will keep algae from growing, they are using the nutrients that the nusiance algae would. Good luck.

If you want opinions..... mine would be to mow lots of yards and buy/set up a new tank that will be best for the seahorses.

agree w/ reefnut.

I once had reidi's in a 55g w/ corals. temp stayed around 78, MAJOR hair algae problem. did water changes....no help. have half the tank w/ macro algae...no help. bought snails galore....no help. changed filters...no help. wasn't until I brought down temp and light wattage that hair algae has gotten under control. won't happen in a bio cube.

I put them in a 35g w/ store bought lighting fixture (maybe 20w of light) and keep temp at around 74. no hair algae.

To rid the hair alage you have now, do a waterchange, keep the old water in a bucket, remove your rocks, scrub them in the old water then put them back in the tank. Increase your pH to 8.3 and conrol your nutrients. Cheap solution. :D
