Public aquariums don't want them.

Why is that? They have a lot of sharks. How come they don't take shark "donation"??

Same reason I don't want a powder blue tank - I already have one. They also don't want to become known as the place where you can bring your unwanted animals.

:D

Unfortunately, public aquariums won't risk contaminating their systems with donated livestock. After being exposed to foreign parasites and/or diseases from different regions, the current inhabitants are likely to be unable to fight them off. This also makes re-introduction to the wild, a huge risk as well.

Not quite sure what NBC's intention was to even write this article, but hopefully there's someone out there with a 20,000 gallon system that could house these two.

I remember when Aquatic Gallery and the shop on Alum Rock both had black-tips. I understand that it can help draw in customers, but it breeds a certain element that isn't healthy for the hobby:(

Wow, kinda cool they had those in their stores.

Look, if he's having trouble feeding them ... all he needs to do is go to Costco everyday! $1.50 hotdog with drink! Woohoo!

Top it off with one of those excellent $1.55 sundaes and those BTRS will be nice fat Americans in no time!

;)

(Can you tell where I had lunch yesterday??)
