Above says it all. Have a 180 LR only at the moment but tank has been sitting for quite some time. Params are good and getting close to adding first SPS and clams but I would like to get the fish list complete. Tank has:

10 green chromis
1 six-line wrasse
1 tomato clown
1 Powder Blue Tang
12 or more blue legged hermits
2 brittle stars
1 serpent star
few snails remaining

Would like to add some final fish. A lemon peel along with a few bangai and maybe a gramma or something like that. Bit of noise to keep the angel less under attack initially.

It all depends on the fish, some nip some don't. Not more to be said.
I'm sure there will be people telling you there evil because it nipped every now and then, and there will be people that says there awesome fish and never nipped.

I'd say go for it and keep them well fed

imo in a tank that big, a lemonpeel shouldnt be a problem with clams or sps. dwarf angel will nip there and there, and this only becomes a problem in a small tank.

hmmm, things sound kind of positive. Think it and the few other small fish would be too much fish?

Eating clams is something almost any fish can learn to do. Doesnt matter what kind of fish or the size of it. My fish have all been trained to eat steamers and any lps or clam that i drop in my tank would be eaten before it hits the bottom. Tangs , rabbit fish, cleaner wrasses and especially angels. All of mine eat the fleshy stuff. Actually mine eat almost anything but that too is a mater of training the fish. My point is that any fish can learn to eat clams. They are excellent fish food and very nutritious. Tank size doesnt really matter. Mine are in a big tank. ( I have a thread here with recent images if you want to see what i mean) IF you put aggressive grazers like angels in with your clams be prepared to move one of them eventually. Also the angels, all of them get much more aggressive when they reach adult size (bout 5 years) it seems and they really do learn to eat almost anything you put in the tank.

Hi,

I actually never had a problem with mine. He never nipped at a single coral in the 2 yrs I had him. :)

Good luck, like the others said, it's hit or mis...
