well I was in the LFS tonight with my wife, and she says to me can we buy a clam... thats all the convincing I needed LOL

I do have a question though, I have 2 NO bulbs (1-10k, 1-actinic) and 2 ODNO bulbs (1-10k, 1-actinic) along with a 400w MH 14k it's a 72g bowfront. So my question is; Is he okay in the substrate or do i have to put him on the rocks higher up... I really like him on the sand.

From the sand where he's at it's 20 inches to the top of the tank so about 24 from the lights

nice clam there are nice to have since they filter feed on nitrates so they are beneficial to an aquarium especially for those who always have a small trace of nitrates cause clams help keep them down.
