Old Salt, can I use it?

Hi All
Hope you and your families are all well and coping ok with Covid19.
Due to the current isolation restrictions in my area it's not permitted to go to beaches which means I can't collect NSW. I have 400gals worth of Seachem reef salt but it has gone hard and wont mix 100% leaving a fair bit of precipitate in the barrel.
Can I collect the residue and dissolve it with some diluted vinegar and then add it to the tank or can I put the precipitate in the sump as is or just leave it out?

The precipitate likely is mostly calcium carbonate. If so, adding some supplement to the salt mix should make up for the precipitate. Vinegar would work if you can add enough, and that might redissolve any trace elements in the precipitate, although I'm not sure about that. I'd probably just dose calcium chloride and baking soda and call that good enough.
