Old Stream 6100's

Im wondering if anyone knows if there are any major differences between stream 6100's that were made a few years ago and the streams that are being made now? Are there specs I could check out? What is the expected life of a 6100? If there are parts that should be upgraded, would it be better to upgrade the units, or to purchase new ones? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The drivers changed about 2 years ago to the 7240.27, I think the 7240.26 was more robust but it couldn't handle the wattage of the 6200 and we added some new features and it was changed to the 7240.27 as a result. The drive units were upgraded to 6100.70 this year, this new one piece unit is easier to work with. They last 10 years with good care but it just depends how they are treated. If you found a good deal and you trust the person why not take it, but I have seen people sell 6000's as 6200's and other dishonest sales so be careful.

Wow, that would be a major disappointment. There was a huge increase in flow when I converted my 6000 to a 6100.
