Old vs New Tunze

Greetings,
Can anyone tell me the differences between the older 6000/6100s (brown) and the newer black ones? What about the difference between the 6001/6101s and the 6000/6100? Can they both be controlled by the newer 7095 controller? Sorry if this has already been covered.

Thanks,
Patrick

The only real difference is color on those models that you mentioned. Also about a year and a half ago Tunze changed the impellers on the 6000/6100/6200 and wavebox to a simpler design without the brakes as the electronics keep the impeller from spinning backwards thus they are not needed.

As for the 6101/6201 vs the older models the new models have the drivers built into the pumps and no longer have the silver box with the circuit board and speed dial in it. There no longer is the heavy round power supply instead now is a laptop style power supply with two voltage choices which will set the top speed of the pump to about what a 6000 or a 6100 would have run at.

And yes all can be controller along with the 6055 nanostream on the 7095 or 7091 controllers

Can the new impeller be used on the older model?

Yes, but only on the 6000 and 6100. You can buy it as a kit whcih includes new bearings.
