Oldude's Little Reef on the Prairie

I see some stuff in there you should definitely have me keep some frags of for you :) For safekeeping that is ;)

Looking good Greg!
Sure Scott no problem, just let me know what you want to trade for some of your "space invader" pectina. :spin2:

Looks amazing as always, Greg!! Looking forward to that FTS

Thanks - it's coming.

I need some of that red dragon :)
Ok no problem :)

It has been one week. I'm calling the FTS Forum police!
Okay - NO COPS!! I'm on it - I took one yesterday for another project I am working on so I'll post it tonight.

Congratulations on an exceptional tank.
Would you have any idea on PAR levels at the top (or anywhere for that matter).
I am trying to dial my lights in and could use some direction for SPS.

Thanks
I wish I could help but I've never tested the par in my tank - but I'm sure it's higher than last week because I just changed all the bulbs.:lol2:

I've been trying to get my hands on some of those zoas with the long highlighter skirts you have in your first pic on your last postings, do you know where you got those from?

And.....can we finally have a FTS? :frog:
I've have had them for a few years - "dragon eyes" I believe although I'm not a zoa guy so I'm a bad person to ask about them. I just use them for filler. :beachbum:

What can you say but WOW!
Thanks - thanks for looking

..is that an SCTV reference?
Well done! It is a nod to John Candy and Joe Flaherty, but I use it by way of reference for those who don't know about it that you can follow the image provided above as a link to Photobucket where you can enlarge the image for a much better viewing experience.

Blows up real good. Thx

That looks great Greg!! Thanks for sharing the FTS!
Thanks - it's a continual evolution. That heliopora in the front is getting out of control, might need to cut it back soon. I am thinking of taking out the whole chunks on the lower RH side.
No need for "", it's the real deal Tyree SI Pectina :)

When I do get the balls to frag it, you have a deal.
I wasn't implying it wasn't the real deal - I would love to have a piece. That coral looks amazing!!

Your tank is such an inspiration that I now have ordered one that is the same size as yours. After I finally get it set up I am going to have to make a day trip via Westjet and pick up some frags. lol.

Thanks that is great compliment. Good luck with your project and please post a link to your build thread so I can follow along. I would welcome your visit.

I plan to start a build thread soon. I am a bit of a procrastinator so will start it as soon as I make a little progress. I ordered the aquarium from your area(you wiĺl know the builder) and expec it on the next 6 to 8 weeks.. This is our dream tank (my wife loves the aquarium as long as I do the work) and we are both excited.

Cool, congrats on the new build. Am I to assume you ordered through Concept?

The biggest thing with concept is to never assume "it" comes with the tank. Want polished edges, you need to request it. Want zero bubbles in the silicon, you have to request it.

They can do anything, and do it well! But you have to ask for it and pay for it or you get just a regular tank with little discrepancies.

Picked up a few new fish last week.
5x Blue Springeri Damsel (Chrysiptera springeri)
2x Black Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon negrosensis)
1x Dusky Wrasse - Halichoeres marginatus (Sri)
1x Long Fin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus Ribriventralis)
1x Melanurus Wrasse (Halichoeres melanurus)
40x Peppermint Shrimp

I am a bit concerned that the melanurus wrasse may have already been killed by my Christmas wrasse - it was relentless in it's attacks on the new guy and I found the remains of something stuck in a power head and since I haven't seen that fish for 2 days now I think it's toast. Too bad because it was gorgeous - had the brightest colors I've ever seen on that species. :eek2:
