Oldude's new 400 gal tank build

Thanks for the heads up. I have now marked the studs and will certainly take the necessary precautions.

Can this thing get any greener? It's so bright my camera has a hard time not over exposing it.

That's quite a large fish room. I like it! :inlove:
.
Thanks Marc I wish it was a little bigger but it will have to do. It's approx 8' x 16'.

I might have missed it but how are you going to address humidity issues? Or is not a concern.

Tank looks great by the way.

Thanks. I had worried about humidity but so far it has not been a concern. For the summer months I plan to istall a blower to exhaust out the window in the tan room.

Did you end up relocating your bar, or just completely removing it all together?

Your pictures are making me badly want to shop for more SPS! That green deepwater piece is just stunning, albeit a bit harsh on the eyes.

Gorgeous corals as always Greg

Those pics of the fishroom are awesome, a great way to showcase it before you put the walls on and have to get out the fisheye lens. I'll be studying this thread in depth when I get to my build :D

Darn, I've been looking for a blue slimer for a while now.
I do actually have a blue/purple slimer but I'm in Canada, sorry.

I got rid of the bar.

Thanks Christy I hope to have things finished very soon.

Here's an interesting piece. I found this under a bunch of stuff when I tore my 130 down. It was completely brown and I couldn't even remember it as although very brown it had grown since I put it in and lost it. I figured I would not have put it in the display if it didn't have potential so I gave it another chance and it is colouring up very quickly considering it went into the new tank totally brown just 3 weeks ago. :D I think I like it.

I am quite pleased with the results I am seeing in this first 3 weeks.... I can actually see a noticable difference in the coral daily.

Thanks smoothie. It was a nice surprize.:) It's pretty cool finding a lost coral especially when it coloured up so quickly. For me it usually takes months.

Unfortuantely I can't get authentic ORA stuff up here but who knows......That is a very interesting name.
