I believe that one to be Montipora porites.

Do you still have that awsome A. Desalwi its purple with green polyps. Im just curious if you had any pics of it and if it grew quite a bit.

It unfortunately fell behind some other corals in my old tank and during the tear down I found it dead. I did have another variety that was starting to look pretty good but it rtn'd just before I switched tanks. On the bright side I can still get another piece of the nice one from my buddy who has the mother colony. Thanks for reminding me I need to go for a visit.

i have a couple of frag of desawali acropora its colorful and they growing good in my tank.its my favorite coral by far

No the tips on this a.loripes are more of a pinkish colour. I got it about 2 years ago and it's finally starting to take off.

Thanks again Ian but I don't actually have anything in my reef by that name. I have a purple/blue mille I dubbed as "super grape" a couple of years ago and a few varieties of purple a.lokani but that name is new to me.

I'm kinda' digging the way this is turning out. Hopefully the cap makes a nice purple ring aroung the acro.
