Oldude's new 400 gal tank build

Hey Greg,

I know it's not hit everyone as bad as the people they feature on the news, but how are you, your family and your tank holding out with all the flooding and associated perils? The pictures are pretty awful, and the damage estimates astronomical?

Andrew

Lost power for a few days was all that happened to me - I was very fortunate!!
That said I didn't run heaters with the back up power (valuable lesson learned) so I still lost quite a bit of coral due to the water getting so cold for a prolonged period of time. Thanks for checking in. :spin1:

5 month update pictures?

I am in the process of a do over with my tank right now and it will take at least a few more months before it's done due to my work schedule, etc. I am changing out all the rock and sealing up the holes drilled in the back wall from the closed loop I no longer use (plumbing is all still attached). I added a MP60 when I shut down the closed loop over a year ago and find it much quieter & uses less power. The temp in the tank actually dropped about 3 degrees F after I shut off the hammerhead pump running the closed loop. Once I really get going on the project I am considering starting a fresh build thread as I think this one has pretty much run it's course.
