OMG any tang police out there

For real, I messaged him about the tang, I wasnt looking for a new fish but *** that tang needs some room:thumbdown. Im going to phx anyway 2moro so maybe I can pick him up. That fish would the space in one of my tanks.:)

There seems to be a lot of irresponsibility around keeping large fish. People who sell them and people who buy them don't make wise choices. I think those of us who have a bit of knowledge - even if not much in my case - should remind others to be humane. If humanity doesn't cut, finances surely should. Fish are expensive.

Chill out tang police! Unless you own a pool of an aquarium, you have no right to own a Tang, really. I think any tank is too small for them.
This guy is ready to get rid of his set up, and hopefully, the tangs are sold infividually, to bigger tanks. So trying to hunt this guy down, is kinda freaky, I think.

If I went overboard I'm sorry. I also have a tang in my 125, but I really do think that tangs don't belong in any aquarium. I know, I'm a hypocrite and I don't like my kind ;)

??? I dont get it you say hopefully the tang is sold individually so someone with a bigger tank(like my 300), are you trying to convince me not to get it? Also how is it "freaky" to respond to someones craigslist post. That is why it was posted there in the first place right?

OMG - I'm officially part of the tang police. Yikes - and I have a little yellow tang that I inherited. But he/she is about to move up from a 90 to a 180 so I don't feel too hypocritical.

But seriously, seeing that picture pi$$e$ me off. On a better note, this person is selling their stuff so maybe they realize that this is not a good situation and they are trying to act responsibly. We don't really know what is going on in their world.

I hope you are able to get the fish wsz594 - your 300 sounds like a much better home.:fish1:

That guy just responded to my email and that fine mata tang will be mine on tuesday. Time to start a new pampered life with tons of love and tons of fresh macro:D in the 300. This will be the fish that forces me to upgrade lol. I just made an offer on a 500g tank in phx, so if that goes through I will be selling my 300 and 240.

Good luck with the new fish! Its amazing how many people buy cute little fish and then ask questions on size and compatibility after the fact. My neighbor bought a 1" Pacu and 3 1" Oscars at Walmart for a 29 gal tank. AAAARRRRGGGGG. He was surprised when I said the Oscars would grow to be at least 12" and the Pacu 24-30". He has since upgraded to a 120 but that is too small as well....

Yeah - did you notice that the guy who was bragging on having three tangs in a 57 had one post to the forum...and the fish had done so well for a whole month :wildone:

I'm glad you are getting the fish - so now you have to get the 500g right?

That's putting your money where your mouth is.

Nice job. Good luck!
