I can't make up my mind to go through the trouble of plumbing through walls to put my sump in another room where it will be easier to clean or take the easy way and put the sump under the tank which there seems to be a lot of room wasted if i don't put it there, I would appreciate all y'all s help making up my mind.thanks

I think you should always do the work up front to make maintenance easier. Every time I have cut corners I end up cursing myself later in time!!

Yea thank you for the reassurance :) punching holes through a wall for a hobby is a first for me

So finally i am putting water in my tank, its a little nerve racking I am hoping to not have any leaks.

My only concern would be the all hard plumbing to the external pump. Vibration could crack and/or break the acrylic. Might want to put a small section of flexible hose(spa flex, ultra flex, etc) in there.

Also I would use that check valve without unions to be able to get it off and cleaned. If you want to use one BRS sells one with side access.

I did a union joint not good enough?

Union won't deaden vibration. I would leave the union but add some spa flex to both sides of return so you dint rattle the sump or the plumbing returning to tank

If not 2 pieces, then at least one somewhere in there.

Okay thanks will do. I assume brs has it or can I just get it at home depot

Brs doesn't sell it. You can get it at home depot in the tubing by a foot section. Call ahead though as not all stores have it in stock. Pool/hot tub stores are also good places to go
