OMG...what is this....seriously....WTH

Tangs do not host like clowns do. However they are opportunistic little creatures and will grab a free meal no matter what it looks like - even if its poo/algae/etc. They typically spit out what they do not like but that sure does not stop them from trying it out first.

aaarrrrgggghhhh.......I hate being so wrong about something that fundamental for so long!!!!
Thanks for the clarification.......thats kinda like setting your SG at 1.025 instead of what saltwater SG is really at: 1.035.

Im just kidding, in case someone is dumping more salt in their tank after reading that last one.

Ya thats pretty common, my chromis do that too.

I'd like to edit my last post when I referred to them in a time where autotrophic feeding was more important. What I meant was heterotrophic feeding was more important, just the opposite(was thinking yin and wrote yang ;) ) heterotrophic is when an organism is dependant on an organic substance for energy, where as autotroph can synthesize there own in our case through photosynthesis. Carry on! :)

No on the 1.035?! Ack!!! Um, anybody know how to filter out a bag of salt? ;)

Justin, ironically my GF and I were having a discussion at dinner tonight about how she said I was a bonified 'fish geek' because I like to use correct terminology and explain things in scientific terms when it relates to aquatic life. I argued the fact that anybody interested in anything will strive to be knowledgeable in that interest. I beginning to think she was right... :)
