I was recently pushed to switch from brine to mysis shrimp on the basis of more protein. I had the local store order in some 8 ounce flats of mysis. The guaranteed Analysis is protein 6.0% Crude Fat 0.4% Fiber 0.8%, Moisture at 90.5% which is really the almost exact same as my brine I was getting. San Francisco Bay Brand Sallys on 32 ounce flats, and Sallys Fozen Mysis Shrimp. Ok I looked at another brand its at petsmart by Hikari, brine is bosting 6.8% protein, fat 1.5%, fiber 1.2% guaranteed, and the mysis is really high at 10.5% protein, fat 1.0%, fiber 2.0%. Now is this crap exagerated for protein that one brand is actually almost twice in high in protein as the other?

It probably depends a lot on the amount of moisture, I'd suspect the ones with lower moisture are higher protein.

Better, I'm not sure because it depends what you consider better. You'll probably have a more complete nutritional package in ground up fresh shrimp and it will be a lot cheaper. However, you'll have to deal with the mess.

In my 210g tank, I used to feed shrimp, scallop, crab and fish, all fresh from the seafood store, I almost never fed "processed" foods like mysis or brine or krill, I just stuck with fresh.

PE Mysis has the most protein, my PE is 69% protein. Go with them if your fish are large enough to eat it.
