one eyed copperband butterfly fish

About two weeks ago i was feeding my tank some mysis. While I watched in horror my big maroon clown bit my copperband butterfly's eye out! She just bit it and ate the eye out in a flash of the eye (sorry). I figured the copperband was a goner at that point. The copperband swam in circles towards its remaining eye for the next two days, but still ate whenever I fed. Two weeks later the fish is still alive, no more circles, hunts my rockwork, cant' believe it! I would like to hear other reefers incredible stories of survival.

Glad your fish survived, a while ago someone's fish lost a tail in their powerhead and the fish was eating and acting normal. Not sure if that fish is still living but it is always interesting to see how resilient they are.

had that happen to a huma a few months back..it is amazing how resilient and tough they are...kinda made me like him more than I already did..:love2:...
