hay guys as you know im going from a 90 gallon to a 150 the question is can i put my fish in a 10 gallon tank with a powerhead for 2 days at most until i make sure everythings ok with my 150.its only 6 fish 2 feathers and an anenomy.
i dont trust my closest LFS and besides i just moved here and dont know them like that.its 1 -2"queen angel,1 small damsel,1-2"harlequin bass,2pseudochromis an inch long,a 1"wrasse,an anenome, and 2 feathers
Can you buy a huge rubbermaid type container at Walmart or some cheap store? Don't forget a heater along with the powerhead. I am still confused, are you going to Puerto Rico or are you there now?
yes the tank is in puerto rico and i will be there next week. does the rubbermade have to be deep or long and short, and will i get by with just a powerhead in there. i dont need a heater (dont wanna cook em)its 90 over there, but just making sure if i need anything else
If you go into a walmart or kmart ect... they have a big selection of storage bins in housewares. You'll have a better idea of what you need when you see them in person. If your powerhead is any good it should be okay for a couple of days. You only have one for the 90?
Rubbermaids will be a lot better, and I suggest getting two of them. Even without knowing what type of anemone you have, would suggest keeping it in a different one then the fish.
When I re-did my 58 I kept my fish in rubbermaids, used a heater and a powerhead in each. They were in there for 2 days and worked out perfectly.
Yea, I think that would be a very good idea. Plus the pieces of live rock will have the bacteria on/in them to help with keeping the ammonia down during that time frame.
deb im going to my house in puerto rico next saturday thats when the adventure starts i am looking so forward to setting up my new 150 gallon baby i cant wait. my wife is mad but i already bought my son the nintendo wii for his birthday and i told her when i get to puerto rico i was gonna give her $300 dollars to disappear for the day while me and my cousin start the new project, hahahahahahaha
