Soooo here it is:

Sorry it is a little blurry. It has many thread thin tentacles that can extend more than an inch. Most of them are striped like a banded serpent stars legs. It is definitely in the hole in the rock. Any help???

Can you get a clearer picture. It's just a tad too blurry. It doesn't necessarily have to be closer, unless you think you can manage that :D

The purplish bluish threadlike stuff? That's a sponge: it grows like veins over rock and looks really cool. When it reachs an apex, it tends to grow together and rise like that, almost like an attempt at tree sponge, but it remains limp-ish. Feed phyto and you'll get more of it.

Definitely not sponge. It retracted into the hole when I moved the rock. I will try to get a better pic this afternoon when the lights are on again.

I honestly believe that it's a small clutch of red sea xenia that have been dying from neglect as a live rock hitchhiker, but like everyone else said, it's pretty blurry. I only say that, because I used to have a flame angel that made all of my red sea xenia look exactly like that.

The arms move. I have even seen them grab a piece of food that made it to the bottom. Here is a much better pic. You can even see how far the one leg is stretched to the right.
