One of my wide bar mocha has died?

I had a young pair of wide bars and the big one has died. They prob around 9 to 10 months old. I have a black ice in my fuge that I rescude from petco. My question is can I pair them off or will they fight? Any suggestions would be great.

Very hard to tell without seeing them in person and how they behave.
I would just give it a try to put the larger one to the smaller. But watch them closely and see how they interact for the first couple of days.
Some (pretend) fighting is normal in Amphiprion pair bonding but it should never lead to injury. The smaller (potential male) should give in and show his submission. If you see that and the bigger (potential female) accepts this and stops its attack they should be fine.
If they start fighting for real you should separate them immediately.
