One year with my RTBA

Just thought I would post a picture or two of my RBTA when I first got it and what it looks like now (1 year later). It has since split into 8 anemones. Some are hard to make out since they are so close together in the picture.

Thanks!

I use the Orbit 65Wx4 PC fixture with 4 65W 10000K/Actinic bulbs (SmartPAQ). I previously used more lighting, but they would never come out of their caves like they do now. Since I reducing the lighting and switched to the SmartPAQ bulbs they look like they do in the picture (nice and spread out).

I feed them pieces of raw shrimp every so often (every few days maybe). I have found that if I feed them heavily for a period then stop for a few weeks they tend to split. I haven't been directly feeding them lately as I have been fighting bad algae problems in the tank and have reduced feeding to the whole tank. I reduced the food about a month ago to the tank and quit feeding the anemones and I found two new splits within 2 weeks. They are the favorite thing I keep in that tank.

Just beautiful, the perfect anemones, you know just what you are doing.
Very proud of you.
I would like to post those pictures on my web site under share your anemones with the world.
Click my little red house and look around. If you would like to share them I would be delighted to post them on my site.

I like your website. I have read through it before. There is a lot of good information there!

I wish I had pictures of the tank the original RBTA originated. It was 135 gallon with some fish and about 40 RBTAs that had all split from one RBTA over 3 years.

Please feel free to use the pictures as you see fit. Here is another shot.
