This didn't make sense. MD & BRS ship free unless it's live food or very large or unusual items, if the order is $75 or above. A skimmer is a medium sized & light package. I consider this a good deal.

Were you shipping to a standard address in the lower 48 USA or do you live in the wilds of Alaska or a Pacific island? Or were you ordering for delivery outside of the USA?

Must be missing something....I have no such issues with these companies.

They only ship UPS/FEDEX for free shipping. I live on a military base/PO box, US address...so it has to be sent USPS, when that happens it is not free shipping. That is not my issue, my issue is the cost that MD seems to want to charge me for shipping USPS.

Ship and request pickup at UPS hub. Done.
