online SPS stores, who do you buy from?

Super Housemonkey!
I've noticed a number of great stores are no longer open. I checked the RC Sponsors page before starting this thread, but really didnt see any vendors that specialized in coral frags.

So, who are you SPS wizards ordering your frags from?

Biggles and you Aussie kids, go away. You guys can just walk over to a tide pool pick out all the pretty colors...those of us stuck in the midwest of the United States (or those of you closer to the Arctic Circle - y'all call it Canada), don't have that luxury.

So where are you folks buying frags/corals online?

Buried in the aquaculture section there is an acro build thread. Check it out. A lot of his stuff comes battle corals. I personally have never bought. I like divers den but lately prices have gone up and colors are not as diverse.

I agree, divers den doesn't have the selection it used to, maybe because of the change it went through in ownership or whatever.

Battle corals, Adam made me happy when I ordered. He had some nice Aquaculture's for good deals and stuff looked very true to what he represents.

AquaSD has some nice acros mixed in their sales. I have got a number of beautiful wilds from them and their frags are awesome. Very cheap and huge. They would be colonies to a number of vendors I can think of. All the frags I got colored up better than the images on their site as well. Freebies are very generous when I order a nice pack as well, best I have seen.

Battle corals would be my go to for Aquaculture's. Although he does have wilds too and grows those out sometimes. I like the process of trying to keep wild corals colored their best. Adds a little more to the hobby for me. If I am keeping Aquaculture's it's already well known what conditions those corals enjoy and grow well under. Wild stuff needs a little more care in the beginning and some experimenting along the way to figure out some corals. With some patience and communication we will soon be growing colorful abrotranoides and similar hard to keep corals before we know it :)

AquaSD doesnt have much on their site?

Every weekend they have a "sale" on the reef two reef forum in their vendor forum. Not sure if they have a vendor forum here with a sale weekly or not.
Good thing about it is there are so many corals that it's not something you have to sit around watching. I look at it the next day or days later and still get most everything I want when I order. Last order I got a bunch of stuff and they sent maybe 6 freebies in giant frags and a 7 inch colony! Made my day :)

Cannot stress this enough. Best available collection of aquacultured goodies at great prices on the planet. Go ahead and try to find better, you won't!

Also battle corals for me...ordered multiple times from him and nothing but great experiences with Adam

WWC!!!I've ordered two frag packs from world wide corals and all corals sent were exactly what was pictured, and they have maintained there coloration!!

Battle Corals for sure. If you haven't hit Adam up yet hit him up. You won't be disappointed. Great guy to deal with to boot.

I also vote for Battle Corals, Adam is a great guy to do business with if you want aquacultured frags. I really look forward to getting another frag pack from him.

So much BC love in this thread.

Finding nice wild stuff, even good frags, these days seems to be extremely hard. Aquaculture is fairly easy to stock a tank with, I think this is why a lot of people are leaning this way.

Since no one mentioned it I have on occassion bought from ebay. The thing with ebay is the same as the internet, you need to find the good sellers from the bad. There are some. I am the first to admit i hate cornbred and what he has done to our hobby via hyper inflated prices and photoshopped corals. Yet there are some diamonds in the rough. I just 100% expect the pieces to be wild, and chopped. This is an option that is not the same as BC, BC is someone with experience and care for his SPS that has earned him the accreditation he has received. I actually just recently learned about battle corals and have read over his information a few times. The guy has some stellar corals to choose from, and seems to hate pests as much as most of us do. Not to mention he has glowing reviews from everyone who he does business with.
