Onyx clownfish (C Quest) nipping at each other.

So a question, I recently picked up my onyx clownfish which have been together for awhile at the fish store. Still relatively small but supposedly paired. One is only slightly bigger than the other and there was no fighting at all until it hit my tank. Does this mean the fish are still trying to figure out who's more dominant?? The bigger one chases the small one of course with a little nipping at the fins. Now the small one hides by the powerhead. Should I be worried?? Or will this pass soon.

You'll just have to watch them. If the small one gets injured you would have to separate them but you actually may have two females, in which case they'll never get along and one may kill the other.

You say relatively small? Little tougher to gauge by that. Can you put more of an inch value on that?
They still may be too small/young to have determined a sex yet. Because someone says they are paired doesn't mean they are bonded. It can take months. They are also in a new environment.
Give some time, watch for them locking jaws and severe wounds.
You could also separate with a little 1/2 gallon clear fish box....I know, such a technical term, but they could be in same tank yet still separated for safety. Would allow them to get used to each other again.

Thanks for the input rt67ghy! Capt.Nemo, I would say they are about an inch and the bigger one is the same maybe 2mm bigger lol so not too much I would say. So maybe they haven't figured out who is more dominant quite yet. No crazy fighting like locked jaws but I'll keep a lookout!
