Onyx clowns at petco? Whattttt!!

I work at a Petco, most stores will only get them because of a sale and they get "pushed" onto the store. But at any of the good petcos like mine, can get all sorts including platinums, snowflakes, and semi-Picasso clowns. No Petco uses a quarantine tank (most have a sick tank though) that's up to you.

I went down to our local store just now after seeing this post and they had one... I will check some of the other stores tommorow and see if they have a couple.. I want two to see if they will mate up

That's nothing. Last month, I saw a pair of juvie Picasso clowns for sale at a Syracuse Petco. Selling them for something ridiculous like $100 for the pair. I would have grabbed them if I a SW tank up and running.

At my Petco, we often get in different clowns, besides the standard and black ocellaris, or tomato, clarkii, and maroon.
From ORA and SA:
Gold strip maroon
Semi-Picasso
Mis-bar onyx
Snowflakes
Black foot
Cinnamon
Fire
Red Sea two banded
Black saddleback
Just to name the ones I've had come through my store the past 2-3 months

One clue to the lineage would be the intensity/pattern of the black on your fish.
I also work at the hatchery that supplied them (SA)

Did I also get an Onyx? This was sold as a Proaquatix True Perc to me for ~$12 on Black Friday at saltwaterfish.com. Its a juvie.

The intensity doesn't guarantee the lineage, I have a Wild Caught Onyx female who has the exact same black intensity (well until she associated with my Magnifica).

Working at the source who supplied it on the other hand that may give some insight into their origin.

You work at sustainable?! Awsome! I've got three snowflakes (ones a black ice) from them.
