Ooh La La!!! Sheer beauty!

Drake: watch it with the name-calling please? I know you are not referring to anyone in particular, just categorizing, which is what I think is inappropriate.

Thanks

Nice tank! The colors seem a tad on the oversaturated side, though.

IMO this tank shows the best color I have seen in a ZEO system. If anything, IMO, it is understated compared to what I have seen achieved in other ZEO systems and this is why I like it so much. I have seen lots of tanks and many more corals and IMO this tank is far from oversaturated, it is perfect IMO. I do not see a single coral in this tank where the colors are blown out at all. I get many corals in that have brighter color when they are first collected and the corals in this tank are nice but not unrealistic in any way, IMO.

Hey Dr. Mac. Glad to see you on this forum.

The one that really stood out, IMO, as oversaturated is the pink Stylophora sp. Not knocking the tank in any way, mind you. :)

Or what you'll ban him? How is "zeovit haters" even name calling it's not derrogatory. However you are right it does put him in a catagory but how is that bad really for instance I could lump everyone into to two catagories reefkeepers non-reefkeepers or would that offend you as well?

I don't mean to go off but that was a very suffocating post for such a minor comment.

One of the T5's is a red. Could that make some of the corals pop like the stylo? Has anybody around here (the U.S.) tried anything like that. It seems we all like to supplement heavy with actinics.

 Agreed. :) Lets enjoy Broli's tank now and discuss more of what he acheived.

Anyone else find the PH and Alk very low to what we try to keep ? Most people get all in a bunch when their PH goes below 8, but look what he is keeping it at. I guess it just shows you the power of stability when it comes to Alk and PH. Obvioulsy the low #'s are not affecting his tank one bit.

Thanks, and if the discussion remains civil I'd love to stay a while:D

Actually, the Stylophora is very nice color, but not exaggerated in any way according to many I see. Now, yes many that come from Fiji are quite a bit less colorful, but some from Tonga are extremely colorful just as this one is. I have some now in my private collection and they are every bit as colorful as that one. Of course we do not know if this particular piece came to him that color or if ZEO altered it, but it does not look unreasonable IMO. Many of the Acros are less colorful than they might be in a ZEO system from what I have seen of other ZEO tanks.

Regardless of the owners methods, it is one of, if not the, nicest tank I have seen. The entire look just strikes me as being very well balanced that other tanks have not accomplished IMO and I find it a wonderful example of what might be accomplished and IMO would be quite inspiring to many hobbyists.

Thanks my friend. That really means a lot to me! Im sure if you saw Broli's tank in person, you would think otherwise. ;) Seeing pics is one thing, but seeing it in person is another. :) :)

By the way.. here is a pic of a the coral you guys are discussing in a KZ holding tank (towards back). It somewhat resembles the color.

It would be great if brulz could drop in! I would love to hear more about his controller & ca reactor. I used that H&S skimmer & as he mentioned its a great piece of equipment.

I would also love to here his before & after experience with Zeovit. He has a modified Deltec Zeo reactor, I don't think that's a standard D piece.

I know the braceless tank itself is made by Elos, who makes BEAUTIFUL tanks.

I think that red T5 supplement is interesting. Don't the Japanese tanks use stuff like that (ie "funny" colored supplemental lighting).
