my g. smithii spent the whole day smashing out the inside of this huge piece of live rock.

then i came home latenight, and he has built a door? its made out of little pieces of everything in the tank.

is he molting in there or somethin? or did he just build a door?


sorry to be posting a new thread every half hour, but im just so freggin stoked about this lil guy.

(its enough to make 3 200lb+ men giggle, and ignore the broncos game)

from what I have read he is just gathering materials for use later. He may hole up in there and close his little "door" every night and come out during the day. Or he may just be gathering the materials so he doesn't have to go far when he molts. Or he may close it every night until he gets used to the tank. I think your answer may be under roy's list in the activity category. If it says it closes every night then thats what it is doing. If not then it could be any of the above reasons, or he could be molting.
