Open Brain Placement

Hi,
Just purchased a Red Open Brain with green center. I've asked my LFS if it was ok to put it on the substrate in a 120W T5 lit 33 gallon tank. I was told to put it at medium height. But I've read it is not good to put it on live rock. It looks healthy on the rock though and I've seen others do it before. Is this placement OK, or should I move it down to the bottom?

This is my red open brain on the rocks and it seems healthy to me. Eats like a pig. I would start out mid way the tank and see how it reacts. If it seems happy leave it there. If not, post a pic here and someone will be able to tell you if it needs to be moved up or down. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply elegance. I got a little freaked out reading other forums as it may damage itself on the live rock while expanding and it's not natural to put it up there, so I moved it down to the substrate. It looks happy on the bottom as well, expanding very well.
