OK. so I need to appologize for my previous rant. Next time I want to sellsome corals to the critter, I need to talk to the man. Chris. when my ballast went out last night, I ran over there thinking he had what I needed. he though so as well. turns out it was just for 2 bulbs and not 4. he offered to let me borrow the one they had on the shelf. I turned it down in hopes I could get one locally for a temp. didnt quite work out. so I returned today and now get to borrow a ballast till mine comes in on monday.

He also told me last night that when I have some I need to bring in, to call him and speak wiht him on what I have. He even ofered to come by my house and pick them up if necessary.

so. here i am eating my humble pie offering an appology.

Thanks GUYS

Glad to see you are man enough to eat your humble pie. ;) I glanced over your rant last night and thought you just didn't talk to the "right" person on the phone :). It is a big store with lots of folks that work there and all may not be familiar with the clubs members and who has good stuff. I bet they get calls from people wanting to bring in stuff all the time that is not in good shape at all then they are standing there in an awkward situation not wanting to take the stuff that didn't look good. I will definetly be in for some fraggs from you when ever I get my tank up and running again.
They have taken stuff from me many times and other times told me no even when I had it with me but didn't call first. I totally understand and with the price of there overhead sometimes think how they even make ends meet sometimes but I guess .99 fish add up! I go in there thinking I am getting off cheap since I am only out for a FW fish run and I still run up a monster bill!

I am glad we have such great support from all of our local stores. I love to go in and window shop and wish I had more $$$ to spend at them. Glad you got a loanner from them, that is awsome!

Thanks, Lindsey. They really are a great bunch of guys and a great store.

+1 :)

Good to see you around, Angela. ;)

I know they can be cranky sometimes, but the business part I don't see them doing anything wrong. There was a few that worked there for awhile that I really like and I do ALL my shopping with them. I actually bought more stuffs when they were working then anyone else in the store. I don't like dealing with most of them. But when I really want to buy something I usually look for Chris or Chris, either one. :)

I've never had anything but excellent service from Chris:D
Glad to hear you got things worked out Lindsey.

Wow, it's Angela! Randy and I were wondering what you were up to lately last night when we were trout fishing:)

I must agree. I have no idea how much money I have spent in that store and I also know some of you have spent much more than me. The owner of the store "Chris Beggin" is a great guy. I have had many long conversations with him on the phone and he always answers my questions and is very helpful. I really cant say enough good things about him. The other Chris is also a great guy. I have had him many times tell me " don't buy that you dont need it" or he may suggest something else that might work better for me. I'm telling you when your in a store and they tell you "not" to buy something they are being honest with you and want your continued bussiness. They have mine, I will continue to go there I hope for a long time. I have had one or two people rubb me wrong there but, I just blow it off and make sure I talk to someone who knows what they are talking about and wants to be a nice as I do. Lindsey hope you enjoy your pie (I know I've had a few slices in life) but Ive met you and know your a good hearted guy and you mean the best besides all of us get aggravated sometimes. Dont sweat it. Everyone take care and I wish you all the best.

Pickupmann, MTRC,

I definitely feel that I have opened my mouth a little too big on this forum as well. It feels good to hear all of you make postive comments, feedback to jerky rants. It is good to know we can all be human here.

I just feel a big group hug due at this next meeting.... I love you guys!

The Critter is a really good store, as is EBay and Fins....and they're feeling this economic pinch just like we are. All of them need our business more than ever. Even for the little stuff.

As far as LFS's I'll just say from personal experience "ya don't now what ya got until it's gone" ;)

I'm sure Gary (gflat) will back me up on that one.

Chris
