Open water column fish

I have a 75g that had been up for a little over a year. My favorite fish are wrasses but out of the 4 that I've had, 3 of them have jumped. I don't like the concept of covered top so I was wondering what my options are. My tank is to small to have tangs. Any suggestions are appreciated
 
Or maybe I read your title wrong, is that open water, or not covered.
You have lots of corals so I assumed you have live rock and maybe substrate...if so my choices will work great

Thanks for the reply. I should have evaluated more. I want more fish in the water column instead of cave dwellers. And I don't like the look of a closed top tank but it seems like most open water fish are jumpers. I have thought about the fire fish but from everything I've researched they are jumpers as well. I have a lawnmower blenny but being in a 75 I don't want another one in fear that they will fight.
 
Great thanks, what about the red or purple fire fish.
These are mid water column dwellers, always out through the day, quite hardy and peaceful.
Chromis could also be a thought, but scratch the Royal and the blennies as the first is a hider and the second a bottom fish
 
I have a blue Springer Damsel that is always out. Beautiful solid blue color and doesn't bother anybody.

Ok I will look into it. I have always strayed from chromis and damsels because of their aggressive nature. I've never had either but I will definitely check out the springer damsel. I've always tried to keep my tank mellow. Never been one for aggressor fish:
 
I have 2 Royal Grammas along with the Springer Damsel and everyone gets along great. They were all put into the tank at the same time.
The 2 Royals seem have paired and 1 is growing larger than the other (female?).

If you don't want to cover the tank, sell your fish. All fish jump. Hth

Interesting seeing what you consider "helping", especially considering so many get away without covering their tank tops.


OP, what other fish do you have? Makes recommendations easier. Though I will echo a Royal Gramma, beautiful eye catching fish.

Thanks for the actual help unlike someone else's...
I have two black ice clowns, baby fox face who seems to enjoy swimming with the clowns, an engineer and pink spot goby, and a lawn mower blenny. The pink spot and engineer goby have actually paired up and share all their caves. They are interesting to watch during feeding.
 
There is a chance any fish can jump, but you definitely want to stay away from wrasses. Have you considered egg crate or the mesh screen? Bobbitworm13 may not have said it nicely, but he is right. Is it rimless? If it is a standard aquarium with the lip you can get a screen that will fit down in and barely be noticeable. If you won't put on a screen, then buy cheap fish. Because there is a good chance they will be on the floor. In my mind, it's cruel to not protect the fish we are keeping as pets.

This. I made a top with clear netting and a screen door kit. Cheap, easy, and looks great. I've had firefish, wrasses and gobies jump. I'm a believer: any fish can jump.
 
Check out Artfully Acrlic they make very nice looking tops. I made a similar one out of acrylic but it is not nice as AA.
