Mertensii? Hard to tell in the photo the condition. However, the mouth looks okay (only slightly opened) and mertensii tend to ship a lot better than other Stichodactyla anemones, so if the price is right, I don't see why you couldn't give it a shot. I would definitely look at it in person if you haven't done so already.

You have a sick carpet in treatment now. These infections can be highly contagious, so if you add a new nem to the DT at this point, there is a large risk of infecting the new addition. I suggest you hold off.

+1. Don't think they won't contaminate each other because they will....with a quickness !! If you think treating one sick anemone is a pain, try multiple.

I think it is a very nice Haddoni. I would get it, but then I am not treating any anemone right now.

After tomorrow I doubt I will be treating the nem any longer. Just no change and will not make it no matter what.

Is it sticky/ firing nematocysts? From what I remember reading that is kinda of agood way to tell if they still have the energy reserves for survival, Granted my info maybe out dated as I am paraphrasing what I remember out of reading the Julian Sprung reefkeeping series , which might be a bit outdated.

I will check it tonight, but it has been deflated now for two days. Treatment seems not to be helping at all.

It was a learning process, thankfully not a very expensive one.

Whoa how did you get a pic of my carpet? I bought it 2 days ago from a fellow reefer who had it in his system for awhile. That's the pic he was using on his Fs thread and also this one. It's doing well in my tank now, I'll try to post a pic later.

Oh ok lol, I thought you seen it at a LFS so I thought the seller lied to me about how long he had it. It's doing very well in my tank but my onyx clowns still don't want anything to do with it.

He actually has access to another one, I am currently considering.

The one I have in a hospital tank is not doing well.

Yes, he had a beautiful neon green haddoni that was slightly smaller then the purple but looked healthy. Sorry to hear about the one in treatment, been there done that which is why I will only buy established anemones from others tanks and not freshly shipped.
