I will be keeping lps and softies maybe some sps. Right now I have 96watts pc. I was thinking about getting these T5's or this MH I would like any other ideas that you guys might have thanks.

the MH for sure if you want SPS. the dimentions look good. keep it about 10-12" above for full spectrum, heat and evaporation...REEF-ON!!!

i think either would work ive seen it done both ways. im running mhs and vho on my 90 and love the mh. ripples from my powerheads. just a thought

The 24" T5s would be a little long for a standard 10G tank. FWIW, I use a 150W SUNPOD fixture on my 15G tall tank (it has the same dimensions as a 10G, only 6" taller) and it's awesome. I used to have a 250W ROIII pendant, but I really like having a fixture that sits on the tank and the 12 moonlights.

You can buy a JBJ Viper but make sure you get a recently built one, the originals shipped with non-heat resistant knobs and would melt and make the head fall into the tank, yeah a safety hazard to the max. If you get one with the fix, it is a pretty fixture that can clamp onto a tank edge. make sure it is very tight with all screws though.

I dunno about those I have a cat that likes to jump on the top of my coralife light. If he tries to jump on the viper it just might fall in :( . I think I'm just gonna get the Current USA sunpod 20" 150watt mh and with the extra money get a aqua c remora skimmer :)

T5's work just fine for SPS actually PC will work for SPS as well my monti digi colonies are doing great under 64 watts of pc on an 8 gallon tall. Mh deffinetly gives faster growth and better color, hands down. But, look for a tank that duec22 is running, he has nothing but T5, and he needs to frag at least every 2-3 months too keep his corals from fighting with each other. and also a member named Alex keeps SPS under nothing but PC, and his tank is awesome! The most important thing with SPS is water quality, followed by water flow and then lighting. You may find yourself topping off a gallon a day with MH on a 10 gallon, just consider that, also you will more likely need to look into cooling the tank as well. 4 24" T5's will fit over that tank and should give you excellnt growth.

i got the coralife 150w MH 20k for my 29 and is perfect. for ur 10g that would be even more perfect and if ur lookin to spend 300 plus u will save money with the coralife
