Opinion on Bluejaw Trigger

Well before I went to bed last night I checked on the tank one last time and found my male bluejaw stuck to a power head. I could never get him to eat good, would only nibble on nori. He had been hiding for the last couple of days so I figured the worse was coming. The female and all other fish are fine and eating great. My question is it safe to try and add another male to the system (255Gal) after being QT'd or am I asking for a fight in the tank?

I think you should be fine if you have a female and want to add a male. I have a pair and I technically added the female first to the display from QT and then the male. If your tank is big enough, you could possibly add a pair and then you would have a harem of 2 females and 1 male.

Its a 255gal, about 375 total system gallons, how big would you need?

I think you would be fine with a trio. I have a pair in my 180g. If you're not heavily stocked, you could easily add a pair to form a trio in a 255g. Diver's Den has had a lot of blue throat pairs lately. I got mine from there after mentioning they should put a pair in Diver's Den. That was about 2 months ago. They have been in the display for about 2 weeks now and love it.
