+1 on the Vortechs...

I've never read a report of a properly installed, high quality bulkhead leaking...That doesn't mean they're foolproof, but odds are your tank's seams will leak before a bulkhead will fail... I have (7) 1" and 1.5" Hayward bulkheads in the bottom of my tank, and sleep soundly at night...

You want lots of flow in your closed loop - mega flow is best.

You don't want or need that kind of flow in a UV sterilizer. You want some "dwell time" for the sterilizer to do its work on the water passing through... IMO, it's best to set up the sterilizer with its own pump or gravity flow supply... I have mine connected to the frag tank overflow that dumps back into a sump. The frag tank is fed by a Mag 7.

thats right they are rated at a certain flow DUH!
in the sump it is
