Opinions for actinics

hey everyone just wondering what you all would think my best bet would be for my actinic addition to my 2x250 watt MH (14k) would be. i want to add some nice color to the tank and i just picked up a 2x65 watt CF light.

in it are currently 50/50 current USA bulbs, but i want to make it an all actinic light. i was thinking current usa actinic/purple bulbs....what you all think?

IMO look for actinics in the 460nm range. They look the best to me.

Which MH bulbs?

The 14K hamiltons already have a big spike in the 460 range so I might lean to the 420 (03) to compliment them with the purple rather than add more blue.

Which looks best will depend on the colors you are trying to light up and personal taste, but the bluer 460 usually has more pop when on actinics alone.

yea 2x250 watt 14k hamiltons
