I believe I'm in the market for one, but would like to know what type of anemones I could keep? I'm a fish only type of guy, this tank would be for the wife. She has always wanted to keep an anemone, so here it goes.

For that sized tank, there are only 2 hosting anemones that I would even consider -- an BTA (( E. Quadricolor )) and an H. malu. But, that is only when the tank is ready, and you for that matter. With smaller tanks, water quality can change very quickly -- which isn't a good thing for anemones.

BTA's are easier to come by, and should be able to found as a clone. H. malu are harder to come by, and more difficult to care for, but would stay smaller then other hosting anemones -- which would get too big.

My wife is a fan of the Rose Bubble Tip Anemone. My main concern is the lighting. Would a 150 Watt Metal Halide suffice? Also I would keep the bio load small. The only inhabitants would be live rock, the anemone and a pair of clownfish.
