Opinions on my BTA

Just got a BTA yesterday and has been in the tank for over 24 hours. It has moved from where i put it first. I just wanted to post a pic of it and see if everything looks ok. Have not seen it open up to big yet. Have tried to feed it small pieces of shrimp but my fish or shrimp steal it from the anem. Thanks for your input....

Clowns defiantly notice the new addition but have not touched it for except stealing its food I gave him...

From what I can tell in the pic, it looks bleached. Also its tentacles look short and stubby, which some say is the result of inadequate food. It might be a few days before it accepts food. The first week or longer it will be acclimating to your tank. What are you water parameters and lighting?

Water parameters are perfect (PH, Am. Nitrite, and Nitrate, salinity) I will wait a couple of days before trying to feed again, seems like it has moved a bit more today out of the light and seems to be smaller...4w per gallon of pc lights

Watts per gallon isn't the best way to judge, what are the actual lights and wattage -- all daylight, or any actinics ?

How long has the tank been set up?

Since it is bleached, it might have been in lighting that was even weaker, so it could be moving to a more shady/lower light intensity area. BTA's are pretty hardy, with good water parameters like you say you have, expect it to fully recover and soon be a big, healthy anemone for you.

I would ditch the pc lights and get a T5 setup!! nems don't so well in pc spectrum lighting. you can't go buy watts 100%.

If you wanted to use a watts per gallon comparison, I have a 29 gallon that has 2 RBTA that thrive. I split it to get 2. It's recovering for the second manual cut very nicely. That's why there's 2 in a 29 gallon. When it's full grown, 2 don't fit.

I also have 226 watts of PC. That's 7.79 watts per gallon. When I turn one of my lights off (96 watt) and only give them 130 watts (4.48 watts per gallon), they don't look anywhere near as healthy. I tried to reduce it for a week. I now run both of them again. There was a big difference. They are both about 1/3 up from the bottom.
