Opinions on using multiple filtration methods

I plan on having on the new system:

Remote DSB in total darkness using southdown flow about 600 gph

Chaeto or other macro in sump

Miricle mud in sump

Geo duel beckett skimmer

Charcoal and phosban running at all time changed ??(monthly? every two weeks? not sure on that)

about 400 lbs liverock

Filter socks occasionally

Any problems you can think of I may run into running all this?

I don't know if you want to run the charcoal(I assume you mean carbon of some sort) constantly, if you are going to have SPS. I stopped running carbon a month ago and immediatly started seeing better coloration in all of my corals. I've read a couple places that you should run it a few days a week/month, because carbon can pull needed elements out of the water. I don't know how true that is, but I have seen vast improvement since removing it. Also, I don't believe you need to change your phosban that frequently, you might in the begining, but once phospates are at zero, you might want to test the water coming out of the reactor monthly to see if any phospates are detectable, as well as your tank. If both or undetectable, then there is no need to replace.

Duh, yeah I mean carbon. It was early

I figure if I run phosbane continually, even if some starts to creep in it will take care of it. Maybe change every couple months

Yeah, I am still debating the whole carbon continual thing. Maybe run it every other week or something. Will just experiement and see what works best

Any other issues you see?

None that I see you should have great nitrate reduction with the Remote DSB, and macro in the sump and skimmer. Seems like a good natural method of filtration.
