Optical sensor stopped working...

Has anybody else had this problem? I tried wiping it off and it appears to be free of any buildup. It registers if I touch it with my finger, but not when water touches it. Any ideas?

I would suggest that you clean the top with oil-free alcool (don't forget to rinse it before inserting back in the tank) and verify that no pins where bend when plugging the sensor in the profilux.

yep I had the same thing happend to one of mine about 3 months ago, Michael replaced it no question asked :c)

Chris, yours worked I still have it here running my test system

if it responds with your finger it is not broken, please place in a different location of the tank where you may not have so much refraction and also observe the delay switching time.

Also make sure you are not running different versions of software to firmware.

If all else fails then please email us directly where we can then deal with the support issue.

na your kidding me, I almost lost all or my hair trying to get that thing to cooperate!! maby it like the trip... or mabe your tank has nice stuff to look at....

kidding aside, I havent experiance any of these problem with my new one or the second one in my setup!
