Does anyone else have this species and if so how well does it do for them? I got it locally for a great deal that I couldnt refuse... My question is FLOW and Lighting.. Its at the lower end of my tank since I seem to have bleaching issues.. I dipped it Tropic Marin before putting it in the system, not much came off of it at all.. no AEFW maybe what could have looked like a red bug or too, but maybe not.. either way I played it safe, but I am sure I stressed it out...

Mine is in very heavy alternate flow with high light. Had it a few months now. Seems to be holding it's color and starting to base out a bit.

How is the PE with this species? Right now its getting moderate to high flow, more so bottom to top flow and alternate as well... It was in a tank with hardly any flow and under CF... but it had awesome PE. I wish i could get better looking pictures with them looking washed out. Here is a short video, Hopefully Everyone can see the flow in and around the coral and see if something seems out of wack.<object width="400" height="300" ><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/10150366254760577" /><embed src="http://www.facebook.com/v/10150366254760577" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="300"></embed></object>

What is CF?

PE on mine has been good. Nothing like a chips acro but it is getting blasted with flow pretty good. With less flow i would guess it would show longer PE.

Give yours sometime to adjust. They seem to be pretty hardy.

CF=Compact Fluorecent

How would you setup powerheads in a cube? I am tired of having incorrect flow and having to mess with the pumps daily trying to find the best possible scenerio.. I have a seio 1500 and a 2600 and korillia 4

was the same here for me...
I resigned to put an mp40 in my 93g cube...
no more messing with the pumps :) nice flow !

Yea I hate the flow in my 28x28x32 cube. I have 4 koralia 4s but not sure how to have them pointed for the best flow pattern

But on my piece I have it on the bottom of my tank under 400 watt radiums and I'll say medium flow and its doing great

I've had the same issue. I have a mp20 on my biocube 29 and can't figure out where to put it. What mode do you run you mp40 on and where do you have yours mounted?

I would cut that plug and mount it closer to the rock...it will encrust and do much better. This coral needs strong flow.....

mine were dipped and placed in med. to high flow towards the top for light and the polyp extension has been nice color is coming back and this all in a week the other corals did ok but the hawkins died ..

This is mine quite a while back. It's located at 425 PAR with high flow. With higher light, the cream/light green base comes out with beautiful blue tips. Always been a favorite of mine.
