i bought the ORA blue bottlebrush acro frag from you guys about a month or so ago and im having troubles keeping its color, it has lightened up and lost most of the blue color in its tips. i have other frags that i have bought from you guys that have kept their color and are doing great however this is one of the few that does not seem to be thriving. i have 2 250 watt metal halides and 2 96 watt attinic power compacts over a 4 ft tank, and it was kept at the top 6 inches of the tank. im curious to see how much flow and light you guys give this frag for it to keep the color it has. any advice is appreciated, thanks.

dmilne85,

Placing the coral under direct light before it is fully acclimated may cause this bleaching. We would recommend moving the coral lower in the aquarium, farther away from the light, until the coloration is restored. You are then able to begin moving it higher in the aquarium a few inches at a time.
