Where is the best place to put this in the tank. I have had it medium/high in the tank, with medium high flow. My lighting is a diy LED (35 rb, 4 blue, 13 cool white, 13 neutral white) on a 120g tank. The setup that is strong enough to be pushing a red planet twords the more red/white coloration as opposed to the red/green. This red planet is slightly higher than the mille. The color is ok but very very slow, and is favoring the purple end of the color spectrum. My water parameters; salinity 1.025, mg 1400, alk 9.6, calcium 410, temp 78, phosphate and nitrate are at trace levels. I broadcast feed 3 or 4 times per week with arctic pods, oyster feast, and phytofeast mixed together.
The mille is growing but extremely slowly (been in the tank about 4 months), I have seen maybe 5 or 6 mm new growth as branches, it is encrusting fairly well. While my red planet, monti caps, digitalis, purple stylo, etc have been growing very well. This just seems to be lagging. I want to know if I can get it to grow quicker.
